Why Modern, Western Marriage Has Become A Bad Business Decision For Men

Tried to get back together with my ex girlfriend

Tried to get back together with my ex gf
Post by Ashamed on Dec 9, 2005, 5:09pm

I dated my girlfriend for several months. We argued a lot during the last month. Basically she was telling me that I wasn’t moving fast enough for her. (Engagement ring, wedding, kids, etc.) We were supposed to go away together and she canceled on me and stuck me with the bill and an ultimatum. “I want what I want or it’s over.” I ended things with her because as I told her, there was no way that anyone as selfish as she was would ever be part of a healthy and balanced relationship.

After a few weeks, I admit that I was feeling lonely and tended to focus on some of the good times that we had and found that I was making excuses for what she did. I figured that she just wants some security and permanence in her life and that I probably said some things out of anger that I should not have said.

So I called her and she seemed really surprised to hear from me. She sounded happy when I suggested that we get together and talk.

I don’t know what happened after that. Maybe her friends got a hold of her, her family or maybe she just changed her mind. But the next time I called, she was rude, nasty and lectured me on not knowing how I good I had it until she was gone.

She told me that she didn’t want to see me ever. Now I’m feeling like a real idiot for having tried to make amends.

Her actions probably confirmed that it wasn’t meant to be, but I kick myself for giving in and making that phone call. Maybe its better that I tried than not having tried at all.

Actually, you would have been better off forgetting about the dumb bitch and moving on to the next girl.

At least you weren’t dumb enough to marry her.

Next time you’re lonely, get a hooker.

Didn’t take her much time to find another boyfriend, aye. Likely he came into the picture about the time she started arguing with you.

Because you understand that is what happened; we call it BBD for bigger better deal.

Never trust your heart to a modern woman.

You weak, weak man.

You’ll feel better soon enough.
The hell with her.

You are so VERY lucky, you got out of a bear trap free.

You are LUCKY enough to live in the country with the strongest economy in the whole goddamn world. Use it to you advantage instead of pissing it down your leg. Make MONEY.

By the time you are 40 you can retire, to a better country, on a beach with 3 18 year old women to keep you company.

Never give in to the ultimatum or the shaming tactics. You did right by kicking her to the curb. You can do better than her. Just rest easy knowing that some other poor bastard will give in to her rediculous demands…and suffer dearly for it.

Why would you call her back? You must have been really horny/lonely?

There are girls that I think about everyday. I dont dare call them though.

She had found someone else while still with you… that is why she started fights, to get you to drop her and for her to not feel guilt for being a two-timing SLUT… Relationships nowadays are about power and ego boosting, not about genuine caring and love for each other, love is not a one-way street… Get escorts, at least you get what you pay for.

Warnings Signs of a BBD:

1. She does not call after saying she will; casually excusing it later.
2. She becomes overly critical and angry; you can’t do anything right.
3. She cancels plans at the last minute; flaking without an alternative.
4. She is hypersensitive to any complaint; doing so assures a conflict.
5. She starts using the *silent treatment*; withholding all her affections.
6. She defends her behavior saying that your response hurt her feelings.
7. She suddenly develops a problem with you in a romantic-date setting.
8. She decides that your formerly acceptable behavior is now a problem.

I would like to add one really important point on the BBD infection. I don’t care who you are and how pulled together your life is, THERE IS ALWAYS A BBD OUT THERE – and she’ll find him. Sort of like gunfighters in the old west, there is always someone out there faster than you. BBD WILL ALWAYS SETTLE IN AT SOME POINT!!!

I am listening to my iTunes list, and Ted Nugent’s “Stranglehold” just came on. Ted rules. Can you say “70s flashback”.

I think this is especially true with women who are “career-oriented.” There will always be some guy at the office who is more successful than you, better looking, more fun to be around, etc. Once that boredom with you sets in, then those eyes of hers will start wandering.

Yes. Do not spend one more second thinking about how you couldn’t get back together with her or thinking “what if.” I guarantee if she had taken you back she would have just tossed you aside yet again. Actually if she dumped you once it’ll be just that much easier for her to do it again. And like another poster said (Rule I think), women aren’t capable of reconciliation or forgiveness.

Well, we won’t be the world’s richest country for much longer. The days of people getting rich off the markets and real estate and retiring at 40 are over. We don’t make anything anymore, so right now we are only “rich” through easy credit and home refinancing. That and printing money like there is no tomorrow, and cooking the corporate books. The only thing really keeping us going is the Asian banks buying our increasingly worthless treasury bonds. But it’s all good, the sooner this whole system falls apart the sooner we can get these monsters called “women” back under control. And out of the workplace and back in the kitchens and bedrooms where they belong.
